Don't I BLOG you?

So, as part of sesshin, I'm not suppossed to read (or write) for a week. You, however, can read what you want. There's a bunch of blogs on my profile that you can read. Those blogs are my friends' blogs. I read them because I know the people who write them.
But there are these two other blogs by people who I know only because of my blog. There should be a term for this, like, we're blogquaintances or we-don't-know-each-other, we just read-each-other's-blogs.

The funny thing about blogs is that they're this bizarre combination of a revealing of one's intimate self within this anonymous medium of the internet. People share all about themselves, without ever even making eye contact. It makes you feel like you know the person. I feel that way about the first blogger, Chris. He has taught before and he's much more experienced at practice than I am so he's given me good advice and words of encouragement. I feel like I totally know him and his family, even though I've never met him.
The second blog is kind of funny. See, when you have a blog, you have this STATS page that shows how many people read your blog, which posts they read, etc. But there's also this other part that shows what blogs are reading your blog or linking to your blog. This one blog kept showing up: Welfare Love Section 8. I was kind of confused by the title but then I clicked the link and was like: "Whoa! Who knew you could do this with a blog." It was like a cross between scrapbooking and album covers and someone signing your yearbook... but it also had this zen piece to it. And then I started looking at the photos and I was like, "Wait, these people look familiar, but I don't know why."
Then, the very next weekend, this couple approached me at the zen center and said something to the effect of, "Hey, aren't you the one who writes that blog?" And I was like " Aren't YOU, too?" And it turns out that we actually did know each other because we had taken a class at the zen center together awhile ago.
Anyway, if you're in need of a read, I highly recommend both.
Have fun thinkin', hopin', plannin', and moving your body freely. I'll be busy breathin', chantin', bowin' and sitting still.
